Type and image go hand-in-hand when it comes to graphic design. Type and image is used for everyday things, such as posters, magazine covers and books. The right typface on top of the right image can make a visual and emotional impact on the viewer. First of all, the themes of the type and image have to match in order to make sense and get a clear message across. Second of all, the type has to be legible (for obvious reasons).
Type can be layed on top of an image. An mage can be used as type. Type can be shaped into an image. An image can fade into a type. There are a few different ways to intergrate type and image together, but the ones just listed are the most succesful.
Spontanous Foobar Influencer and Project 2 Research

I decided to research for depression and schizophrenia because my main character deals with these mental illnesses.  The videos below show what is is like to have schizophrenia.

Spontanous Foobar Influencer Thumbnails-Final

When I edited the picture in photoshop to look brighter and less grainy, it also got rid of the darker colors from the colored pencil for the thumbnails.

I made so many compositions before choosing the final design.

Project 3 H4H

This project was different from the other projects because we had teams and clients! I think my group did well with their work for Harvest for Homeless and Books4U@MSU. It was pretty fun, I feel like my team collaborated well and ultimately met our client's needs and wants. At first it was pretty tough to get our heads into the group switch with Books4U@MSU, because it was the exact opposite thing from our company and we weren't 100% in love with the new company. As the project went on, my group came together and was able to make something that worked.
